gardeniJJim Weikel, has been smitten with garden design and horticuture since early life. From the first turtle pond dug behind his garage, to planting terraniums that held the woodland wonders he collected. Jim Knew outdoor work with plants was his calling. Professionally Jim holds a degree in ornamental horticulture. He belongs to the Association of Professional Pond contractors Association. Jim has served on the Klehm Arboretum design commitee in Rockford, Il and has taought design classes for the Winnebago county Extension Service. What is the most enjoyable is giving presentations (hosted in his Garden) to several local garden clubs providing lectures about water gardens at the Northwind perennial Farm. Absorbing himself with literature on horticulture and design, learning from others and their gardens, allows him to provide you with what you desire ! Jeannene - office manager Jeannene has graced our company in many ways. She is in charge of the books, payroll, and qualifies important company decisions. Sam - summer/college help Sam is shown in our root cellar where non-hardy banana, canna lily, and elephant ear corns are over-wintered. We also store pumps from our many on-site water gardens. Jason (right) - supervisor/head of garden care Jason represents us with his strong communication skills, vast plant knowldge, and incredible work ethic. Steve (left) - construction foreman
Steve has solid knowledge of construction techniques, equipment maintenance and has a great eye for creative stonework. He is also our best instructor for new employees.
